Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule working weekdays, some weekends, and holidays
* Patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required; blocked schedule cannot be guaranteed but unit will try to group shifts when possible
* Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
* WV or Compact license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be through American Heart Association), NIHSS, NRP, TNCC
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Charting system experience required; Cerner charting system used
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 54 patients with 20 rooms and 20 beds
* Key skills include triage, IV insertion and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, procedural sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, and management of trauma, neurological, and behavioral health conditions
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
* Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

This emergency department facility provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma situations. The unit operates 24/7 with a 20-bed emergency department and supports an average daily census of 54 patients. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for both staff and patients.
