Opportunity:

Nurse Navigator - Oncology Clinic

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday day shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Float required to other campuses
* Patients are adult age group
* Daily census of approximately 20 patients across 5 rooms
* Epic charting system experience preferred and must be noted in work history
* Required certifications: BLS and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) must be in-hand when applying
* California state license required in-hand when applying
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract highly preferred
* Skills required include: authorization forms, biohazard waste disposal, chart preparation, disability forms, follow-up phone calls, imaging results, infusion, interpretation of laboratory results, medication refills, obtaining vital signs, oncology, patient health questionnaire/history/allergies, patient teaching, pulse oximetry, referrals, scheduling appointments, telephone triage, triage, and venipuncture/phlebotomy

This oncology clinic is part of a large academic health system offering comprehensive cancer care services to adult patients. The facility supports interdisciplinary care and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system. The organization maintains high compliance standards and provides a collaborative clinical environment with access to multiple campus locations throughout the region.
