Opportunity:

RT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts per week; every Monday and Tuesday on day shift and alternating Wednesday and Friday on night shift
* Shift hours are 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM (days) and 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM (nights)
* Possibility of picking up extra shifts due to vacation requests
* Every other weekend required
* Holiday coverage will be filled based on need
* Handle 50-75+ treatments per day depending on census
* Day shift staffed with 2 RTs for inpatient and 1 RT for outpatient; night shift staffed with 1 RT for inpatient
* Cover inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department areas
* Treat mostly adult patients with exposure to pediatric and neonate patients in the ED and L&D occasionally
* Inpatient duties include vent management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, nebulizers, MDIs, and Flutter/Airway Clearance
* Outpatient duties include setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and blood gases
* Assist with intubation as needed
* Work with equipment including Hamilton Medical C1 & C3 Vents, Masimo SoftFlow High Flows, Masimo Pulse Oximeters, GEM5000 ABG analyzer, and ResMed bedside CPAP/BiPAP
* Chart using MEDITECH system
* No specific scrub color required
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
* Must have ventilatory skills and be able to work independently
* Pediatric experience preferred but not required
* CRT acceptable but RRT preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PCOT, and RRT Verification
* 2-3 days of department-specific orientation provided

The respiratory manager is available 24/7, including on-call support during weekends and overnight shifts, ensuring consistent support for the team. Future plans for the department include a Sleep Lab and potential cross-training opportunities in Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
