Opportunity:
RN - LDRP
Job Details:
* Care for laboring patients from 35 weeks gestation, provide postpartum and newborn care
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every third weekend rotation required
* No call required
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Minimum 3 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Self-scheduling unit
* 36 orientation hours required
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all holidays occurring in that period
* If three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
* Charting system experience required; Epic experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required skills include: Labor and Delivery, LDRP, Mother/Baby, Newborn Assessment, Couplet Care, Cesarean Section, Assist with vaginal delivery, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Breastfeeding/Lactation Support, Antepartum, Fundus/Lochia/Perineum Care, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Use of Infusion Pumps/Drips/IV Monitoring, Newborn Wellcare, and more
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Social Services

This facility is a community-based hospital offering comprehensive women's health and maternity services within a supportive and well-equipped care environment. The LDRP unit features 7 rooms and 7 beds, providing an intimate setting for patient-centered care. Interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams are available to support clinical staff and ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
