Opportunity:

CONTRACT - LVN - 3W MEDSURG (610) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00A-7:00P

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment on a Bariatric Medical/Surgical unit
* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* No on-call requirements, however overtime shifts are available
* 4 weekend shifts commitment required
* Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients
* 34-bed unit located on the 3rd floor
* Required dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs, black or blue jacket, no visible tattoos
* Required skills: BLS, starting IVs, Foley insertion and management, NGT insertion and management, colostomy system exchange, and drain management including JP, Hemovac, and wound vac
* Preferred skills: Chest tube management and Port-a-Cath access and de-access competencies
* Equipment used includes wound vac, trach, suction, Plum 360 IV pumps, Covidien Kangaroo ePump, and Kendall SCD
* EMR system: Meditech
* Typical procedures include wound care and tube feedings
* Team player mentality and accountability are essential personality traits for success on this unit

This facility operates a well-staffed Bariatric Medical/Surgical unit with a dedicated team that includes charge nurses, staff nurses, and patient care technicians on both day and night shifts. The unit is known for consistent patient experience and adheres to Bariatric Standards of Care and clean narcotic administration practices. The organization maintains modern equipment and technology to support high-quality patient care.
