Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit accepts first-time travelers
* Every other weekend schedule required
* No call required
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 43-bed emergency department unit
* Treats patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Additional preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM
* Key skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions and PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, neuro-trauma, drug overdose, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, interpretation services, and unit secretary
* Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all applicable holidays
* If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
* Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* 12 orientation hours required
* Unit does not accept travel pairs
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission

This facility is a community hospital with a 43-bed emergency department providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. The unit operates with robust interdisciplinary support services and is located within a health system that maintains high standards for traveler compliance and scheduling. The emergency department is equipped to handle a wide range of complex clinical situations including trauma, neuro-trauma, and multi-system care needs.
