Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - Neurology Outpatient Clinic

Job Details:

* 5 x 8-hour day shifts per week
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 6 months of experience required; at least 1 year preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* MA-C certification required (MA-R not accepted)
* BLS certification required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Reliable personal transportation required
* Primary focus on Medical Assistant clinical support in a general Neurology outpatient practice
* Treat patients with a variety of neurological illnesses including TBI, stroke, CVA, and substance abuse
* Occasional front-office duties may include patient check-in/check-out, phone coverage, scheduling, managing patient messages, and supporting clinic flow
* Required skills include: adult outpatient clinic experience, hearing screening, vision testing, obtaining vital signs, recording history/medications/allergies, nebulizer treatments, immunizations, labeling of specimens, throat and urine collection (UA/clean catch), venipuncture, blood glucose via glucometer, telephone triage, TB test administration, follow-up phone calls, suture removal, rooming patients, and pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
* May float within skillset to meet facility needs as needed
