Job Details:

* Work in a free-standing emergency department with 24 beds
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with approximately 15% pediatric patients
* Patient ratio of 1:4 during day shifts
* RN performs respiratory therapy (RT) role and pharmacy functions as there is no RT or pharmacy on site
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Required equipment competencies: Trach care, cardioversion/defibrillation, breathing treatments, feeding tube management, PICC line, and rapid infuser
* Additional procedures and equipment include: Procedural sedation, RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) drugs, drains, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access and care, syringe pumps, and triple lumen catheter
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube insertion and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
