Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
* Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
* 47-bed department on home unit 5SE with floating to any med/surg unit on any campus
* Care for Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients
* Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
* Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise utilizing age and population specific standards
* Equipment utilized includes EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds), level 2 or higher trauma center required
* Travel experience required unless candidate has multiple years of experience in a large level 1 facility
* Surgical oncology patient experience preferred but not required
* EPIC experience required
* Active North Dakota or Compact RN license required
* BLS certification required - must be AHA
* BSN not required
* Scrubs: Navy Blue
* All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
* Orientation includes 1 day lead center training and 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor

This facility is a level 1 trauma center with a minimum of 200 beds, providing acute care services across multiple campuses. The facility features a dedicated Medical Surgical department with 47 beds and offers comprehensive care for a variety of patient populations including surgical oncology patients. The organization supports a collaborative, inter-professional environment and utilizes modern technology including the EPIC charting system to deliver high-quality patient care.
