Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist

Job Details:

* Work swing shift from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
* Full-time position
* One on-call weekend per month required
* Handle up to 4 cases per day depending on specialty
* Work with patients requiring neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology procedures (no cardiovascular cases)
* Minimum 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology preferred
* Prepare patient skin for surgery and maintain aseptic techniques throughout procedures
* Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to physician
* Set up operating room tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of case
* Transport patients to and from the operating room suite and position patients according to surgery type
* Identify and care for biological specimens
* Maintain and update physician preference cards for case setup
* Proficiency in scrubbing 3 specialty areas highly preferred
* Must be a hard worker, good team player, and comfortable working autonomously
* Must be willing to advocate for themselves and patient safety
* Potential for floating to Lake Area location
* Hospital laundered scrubs are provided
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
* Required certifications: BLS
* Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required
