Job Details:

* Variable 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
* Scheduling type: Block scheduling
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required up to 5 times per month to qualified specialties and other UCSF facilities
* No call required
* Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required
* BSN required
* California RN License required
* AHA BLS certification required
* CNOR certification preferred
* Circulating and scrubbing experience required
* Strong orthopedic background required
* Robotics experience required (Da Vinci preferred)
* Urology experience required
* Travel experience within the last 12 months required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Charting system experience required: Epic
* Skills include: anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, orthopedic and arthroscopic scrubbing, total joint replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, open and closed reduction of fractures, laparoscopic assisted procedures, Hana Table, and general OR
* Patients served include adolescents and adults

Facility:

This facility is a renowned academic medical center and teaching hospital offering a wide range of surgical specialties and advanced patient care services. The operating room department supports a high-acuity patient population with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and transportation. The facility maintains a daily OR census of 12 and is equipped to handle complex orthopedic, urological, and robotic surgical procedures.
