Job Details:

* Work in a 38-bed emergency department including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area
* Self-scheduling available
* 4 weekend shifts required per month
* No floating required, however cross-training at sister facility may be available
* Royal blue scrubs required (branded preferred)
* Use standard emergency and trauma equipment
* Work with EMR system Meditech
* Perform procedures related to certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases
* Variable patient ratios depending on acuity and volume
* Best fit personality: easy going, flexible, positive attitude, and patient-first philosophy
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
* SAMA, CPI, or equivalent required (30-day grace period provided if not currently held)
* ENPC preferred
* Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility required

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive emergency department located on the first floor of the B Tower, operating with a team of RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries. The department is staffed variably based on volume, census, and acuity, with a free charge nurse always present. The facility holds certifications in chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn care, making it a full-service emergency and trauma center.
