Opportunity:

TRAVEL - RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 24-bed licensed NICU unit with a staff of 41
* Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
* Day and night shifts include 1 charge nurse with an assignment; no nursing aides utilized
* Level III NICU unit utilizing oscillators, ventilators, bubble CPAP, central lines, ABG machine, pump feeds, and telemedicine equipment
* EMR system: Meditech
* Perform and assist with typical NICU procedures including circumcisions, pneumo taps, intubations, and chest tubes
* Administer medications, give blood, perform blood draws from arterial, heel, and venous sites, and place PIVs
* Attend high-risk deliveries as NICU attendant and observe transitions in the NICU
* No surgeries, nitric oxide, or head/body cooling performed at this unit
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital NICU RN experience required
* Level III or Level IV NICU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP
* Prior Meditech experience preferred
* PICU experience and PALS certification preferred
* Ideal candidate is friendly, approachable, caring, and able to adapt to unit culture
* Strong communication skills with staff and providers required

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital offering a wide range of medical services including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by an experienced team of 41 professionals dedicated to providing exceptional neonatal care. The unit supports high-risk deliveries and complex neonatal cases, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment for skilled nursing professionals.
