Opportunity:

Speech Language Pathologist - Speech Therapy

Job Details:

* Work 4 ten-hour shifts per day from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* Travelers have been working Friday through Monday but schedule may change for vacation coverage
* Weekend coverage required
* Holiday coverage as needed
* Treat 8 to 10 patients per day alongside 3 SLPs per shift
* Cover ICU, acute tower, and rehab unit with equal time split between acute inpatient and acute rehab
* May float to a sister facility approximately 30 minutes away
* Common diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis
* Must be competent in VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallow study)
* 1+ years of experience in acute care required
* Rehab unit experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP
* Scrubs permitted; must not match the color of other departments - list of approved colors provided upon hire
* Plan to work Monday through Friday for 2 to 3 days of department-specific orientation with 8-hour shifts to accommodate onboarding schedule

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Level 3 trauma designation and provides a full range of inpatient services including ICU, acute inpatient, and acute rehabilitation care. The speech therapy department is a well-supported unit with a dedicated manager on shift, rehab aides, and multiple SLPs working collaboratively each day. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for clinical competency across all therapy disciplines.
