RN - ER

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 2 weekends required per 4-week period
* 2 out of 3 holidays required
* Acute care setting in a 33-bed emergency department with 25 cardiac monitored rooms and a 2-bay triage area
* Patient ratio of 1:4 with an average of 210 patients seen
* Charge nurse available 24/7
* ER Techs with EMT, MA, or CNA experience on staff to assist with tech duties and EKGs
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 24/7 with Omnicell
* GE telemetry with central monitor stations at both nurses stations
* Cerner EMR experience is required - please note on resume which facility Cerner was used at
* No floating outside of the ER
* Up to 6 shifts of orientation with a preceptor
* Typical ER patient population; STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric cases are transferred out
* Facility is stroke certified and serves as the base hospital for EMS
* ER nurses will take ER holds when patients need to be boarded
* Must have strong and thorough documentation skills
* Self-scheduling unit with scheduler's right to rebalance as needed; travel teams allowed but same schedule cannot be guaranteed
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Scrub color required: Navy blue; scrub jackets, undershirts must also be navy, white, or black
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN not required
* Valid state nursing license required for submission
