Opportunity:

Free Standing ER RN

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:7 during nights and weekends
* Possible float to Kiawah FSED and Summerville FSED as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule available upon manager approval based on unit needs
* 1 year of general emergency experience required (adult and pediatrics)
* Experience with CVA and Epic required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Must be proficient in management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, triage, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and emergency medications
* Must be comfortable caring for all patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Facility:

This stand-alone emergency department provides comprehensive emergency care services to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 50 patients across 15 rooms and 14 beds, with access to interdisciplinary support including interpretation services and radiology. The department handles a wide range of emergency diagnoses and is equipped to manage both routine and complex emergency cases.
