Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg / Telemetry
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* Holidays required
* 36-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Unit secretaries available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily
* Patient care techs available at all times
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (must have ACLS prior to submission)
* Required dress code: Ceil blue scrubs; hospital hygiene and dress code policy must be followed
* Documentation system: Meditech (Meditech experience preferred)
* Equipment used: Telemetry monitors, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanner
* Advanced skills required: Telemetry rhythm interpretation
* Procedures performed on unit: PICC line removal, vas cath/temp cath removal
* Floating to other units as needed per floating policy
* Patient experience requirements include hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET
* Strong nursing background, thorough assessment skills, and attention to detail required
* Must demonstrate positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, self-motivation, good communication skills, accountability, and ability to multitask
* Must be located 50+ miles from the facility

This facility is a Pathways to Excellence Certified hospital and serves as a Level II Trauma Center, Certified Stroke Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center. The organization has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction winner with high employee engagement scores and consistently maintained quality and core measures. The unit features experienced staff, iMobile technology, Dynamaps that upload directly to Meditech, an advanced call light system, and self-scheduling options within established guidelines. Many nurses on the unit are nationally certified, including the unit manager.
