Opportunity:
RN - Orthopedic/Surgical
Job Details:
* Post-surgical unit with heavy mid-week volume
* Must be available to work shifts as needed; excessive time off requests will not be approved
* 22-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 with ancillary support
* Day and night shifts available with census-based staffing
* No on-call requirement
* Frequent floating within system to Telemetry unit; occasional float to MCD
* Equipment used includes PCA pump, ice machine, Welch Allyn vital sign machine, telemetry box, and IV pump
* EMR system: Meditech
* Typical procedures include Tarlov/meningeal cyst removal, joint reconstruction, hip and knee surgery, lumbar and cervical disc surgery, and orthopedic spine surgery
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Med-Surg
* Orthopedic experience preferred
* PCU experience preferred
* Energetic team player personality is the best fit for this unit
