Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

Medical Surgical / Registered Nurse

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 48 or 36 hours per week
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required, strictly enforced
* Travel experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:12 utilizing team nursing model (RN/LPN/PCT), which results in approximately 1:6-7 patients per nurse when splitting the caseload
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of 30-35 patients with a 45-bed unit
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Block scheduling not available; weekend block may be considered and must be discussed during interview
* Must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment period
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
* EPIC charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Bowel Obstruction, Central Line Blood Draw, Chest Tubes, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management, CVA care, Feeding Tube Care, Heparin, Insulin, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Cardiac Drip Management, Telemetry/Remote Monitoring, Tracheostomy Care, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius

Comprehensive interdisciplinary services are available on-site, including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more to support high-quality patient outcomes.
