Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience required
* Charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for both day and night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* 9-room/9-bed emergency department unit
* Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and radiology
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS, TNCC, CPI, MAB, and NRP preferred based on unit requirements
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Required skills include: triage, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial blood gas interpretation, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, and management of psychiatric holds
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidate must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility
* Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required

This facility operates a 9-bed emergency department providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. The unit is supported by interpretation services and radiology, and utilizes Cerner as its electronic health record system.
