Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour day shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on unit need
* Floating required to like units and other nearby facilities as needed based on census
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit consists of 8 beds with a daily census of 5
* Manage patients with diagnoses including sepsis, AKI, stroke, acute respiratory distress/failure, COPD, DKA, post cardiac arrest, and electrolyte imbalances
* Perform and assist with bronchoscopy procedures
* Utilize Omnicell medication system and EPIC documentation system
* Minimum 1.5 years of experience required; first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* South Carolina RN license required
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV paralytics and neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, CVA and acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT and NT), titrating cardiac drips, and titrating vasoactive drips
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* 24 orientation hours provided
