Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work on a 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every 3rd Friday and Saturday required, plus an additional Friday or Saturday each schedule
* Holiday coverage required for Halloween, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night
* Telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs required
* Must be able to handle a fast-paced unit with frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures
* Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis and EKGs; most cardiac procedures performed in the Cath Lab
* Work with equipment including EKG machines, Hoyer Lift, and LifePak
* Use Meditech EMR system
* Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions using problem-solving skills and good judgment
* Make appropriate and timely notifications to physicians regarding patient condition changes
* Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, and 2-3 Techs; night shift includes 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, and 1 Tech
* Floating to Med Surg is possible but low probability
* Navy scrubs required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
