Opportunity:
RN - MS/ICU/IMC
Job Details:
* Night shift position working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* On-call requirement in rotation if low census; rare cancellation
* Floating required inhouse to ED, UC, and PACU as needed, as well as interfacility to Park Falls and Weston
* Block scheduling offered when possible
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* ICU experience with pediatric experience strongly preferred
* Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, PCA Fentanyl, Propofol, and Norepinephrine
* Must be able to read rhythm strips and report findings to providers as needed; telemetry monitored remotely by tele techs
* Tele monitors are GE ApexPro CH
* RT available 24/7; equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, Servo U ventilators, and Hamilton ventilators
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: MS 1:5 days / 1:6 nights, IMC 1:4, ICU 1:2, Pediatrics 1:3-4
* CNA support available with ratios of 1:8-10 on days and nights when possible
* Charge nurses take an assignment; House Supervisor rounds throughout the building
* Charting system: Cerner
* Navy scrubs required for RNs
* Must clock in and out at the facility
* BSN not required

This acute care facility operates a 20-bed MS/ICU/IMC unit serving a diverse patient population including medical-surgical, intermediate care, and intensive care patients. The facility provides comprehensive care for a wide range of diagnoses including cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary conditions, as well as stable pediatric patients. The organization maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy support and offers a collaborative care environment with charge nurses, house supervisors, and CNA support staff.
