Job Details:

* 3x12 shift schedule, 7:00 AM start time
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers are welcome to apply
* Patient ratios of 1:1 and/or 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes neonates and infants with a daily census of 35 and 53 beds
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* California license required
* Required skills include: NICU III, NICU IV, care of neonates under 24-28 weeks, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, isolation precautions and PPE, arterial line management, central line and implanted line care, UAC, UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
* Charting system experience required; any system accepted
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, and social services
* Float required to Nursery and Pediatric units
* Strict dress code policy in effect: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings

Facility:

This facility operates a Level III/IV NICU with 53 beds and a daily census of 35 patients, providing specialized care for sick neonates and newborns. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory, interpretation, and social services, and maintains high standards of patient care across its NICU, Nursery, and Pediatric units.
