Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shift schedule
* Weekend coverage every other weekend, may vary based on need
* Float to other like units or facilities is required
* Low census standby possible
* Medication system: Pyxis and Omnicell
* Documentation system: EPIC - minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA/TIA/stroke work-up, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleeding
* Surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including general surgery, otolaryngology, gynecology, orthopedics, cardiology, and urology
* Procedures and special services include cardiac/telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry, TEE, negative pressure isolation (AFB), thoracentesis/paracentesis, dialysis, and Level 3 administration of continuous intravenous infusions and IV push medications
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry remote monitoring, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required certifications: RN SC license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* 24-hour orientation required

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a large inpatient medical telemetry unit with 36 beds serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit maintains a daily census of 30 patients and offers a comprehensive range of specialty services and interdisciplinary support. The facility is equipped with advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities and supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, providing a dynamic and well-resourced environment for nursing professionals.
