RN L&D PVH Birthing Center

Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* Every third weekend required
* On-call required per unit needs
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on nights and weekends
* 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities within the North region
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
* AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Self-scheduling
* 36 orientation hours
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* 16-bed unit with a daily census of 8 and 17 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Key clinical skills required include Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Resuscitation, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin) administration, fetal monitoring (internal and external), pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, postpartum hemorrhage management, C-section circulation and recovery, and VBAC management
