Open Position: RN - OR ICU/SICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $4305.00

Opportunity:

RN - Neuro ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3 12-hour shifts per week
* Every other weekend required (or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)
* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Patient ratio of 2:1
* 32-bed Neuro ICU unit split between 16 MICU beds and 16 SICU beds
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Unit secretary available from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM
* Floating may be required to like units including NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry units, Progressive Care Unit, Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and other units as per overall hospital needs
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; ICU experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred but not required
* Required skills include trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, ventilator management, chest tube management, care of post-op surgical patients, cardiac rhythm identification and management, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of stroke patients
* Advanced skills required: hemodynamic and ventilator management
* Procedures performed on unit include chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, arterial line and central line placement
* Dress code: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts), navy or black scrub bottoms, navy/white/black solid color jackets and undershirts

This facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center offering advanced care across a wide range of critical and specialty services. The Neuro ICU is a 32-bed unit with an experienced and tenured staff, equipped with modern technology and resources to support complex patient care needs. The unit provides a dynamic and collaborative environment for healthcare professionals seeking high-acuity nursing experience.
