Job Details:

* 13-week travel contract
* 3x12 night shift schedule
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Floating between like units within skill set is required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Large facility experience required; trauma experience a plus
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is the largest hospital in its region, featuring a 42-bed emergency department that sees approximately 170 patients per day across all age groups. The facility operates as a Level 1 stroke and cardiac center and a Level III trauma center that functions at a Level II capacity. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support services are available to staff, and the facility utilizes Epic as its charting system.
