Job Details:

* Variable start times of 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, or 10:30 AM with possible weekends as needed
* 12-hour day shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
* On-call requirements: 4-6 shifts per 6-week schedule period, which can include nights and weekends
* Night call hours: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend hours determined based on staffing needs (approximately 4-8 hours)
* 30-minute response time required for on-call; no sleep rooms available
* Must be available to work 7 days a week unless approved by nurse manager
* Minimum 2 years of acute/inpatient OR experience required
* First-time travelers will not be considered
* Level III Trauma Center with 12 ORs (11 run daily, 1 hybrid), handling 40-50 cases per day
* Required specialties: Strong experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, and robotics (Da Vinci)
* Adult patient types include: ENT (thyroid), general surgery, ortho spine, orthopedics (must have total joint experience), gynecology, vascular (AV fistula, Fem Pops), urology, and podiatry
* Minimal pediatric cases (typically ENT)
* No open heart, transplants, or high-level neuro procedures (EVDs)
* RN role: Circulate only with experience in applicable cases
* ORT role: Scrub with experience in applicable cases; state registration for surgical tech required
* Anesthesia Tech role: Must support anesthesia with robotics, A-line management, Ranger, massive transfusions, blood warmer, intubation, track cart, and anesthesia machine; required to move between IR, Cath Lab, OB, GI, and MRI
* If census is low in the OR, may be assigned to float to inpatient areas (MS, ICU, PCU, ED Holding, PACU, etc.) in a helper/tasker/runner capacity will not take a patient assignment or administer medications
* Preferred: Robotic experience (Robotic Mazer/Da Vinci XI)
* Flexibility, teamwork, reliability, and positive attitude expected
* Charting systems: Epic (required for CAP backfills/preceptors), Alaris, and Pyxis
* Required certifications for RN: BLS
* Required certifications for ORT: BLS; CST preferred but not required in WA state
* Required certifications for Anesthesia Tech: BLS and ASATT certification
* Rhythm exam required prior to arrival for RN
* Scrubs provided by facility
* No phones permitted on the unit
* Must take required breaks: three 15-minute rest breaks and one 30-minute lunch for 12-hour shifts; two 15-minute rest breaks and one 30-minute lunch for 8- and 10-hour shifts
* Anesthesia Tech scheduling: 6:00 AM or 8:30 AM start (8-hour shifts), Monday through Friday; call required on weekends only (2-3 weekends per 6-week schedule)

This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds and a robust surgical services department featuring 12 operating rooms, including one hybrid OR. The department runs 11 ORs daily and handles 40-50 cases per day across a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, spine, robotics, vascular, urology, and gynecology. The facility utilizes Epic, Alaris, and Pyxis systems and maintains high standards for clinical expertise and team collaboration.
