Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or night shift hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Expected to rotate into permanent staff holiday rotation and work holidays
* First to float - must be able to float to telemetry unit
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
* Basic arrhythmia course certification preferred
* Experience with BiPAP and CPAP required
* Charting system: Cerner PowerChart
* Acute care setting
* Common patient diagnoses include ESRD, diabetes, COPD, and ETOH
* Nurse aides available unless pulled for sitters with a 1:8 to 1:36 ratio depending on staffing
* Charge nurse on unit who does not typically take patients
* Hospitalist (Sound Physician) in house
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 24/7
* No IV team on unit
* Scrub color: Blue
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* BSN not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or up to 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates a MedSurg and Telemetry Float Pool, providing comprehensive inpatient medical services across multiple units. The facility features around-the-clock support from respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, as well as in-house hospitalist coverage. The organization maintains a collaborative care environment with charge nurses, nurse aides, and specialty support teams to ensure high-quality patient care across all units.
