Opportunity:

RN - Acute Inpatient Rehab

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on need
* Patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse
* Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Patient diagnoses include spinal cord injury, amputee, traumatic brain injury, and stroke
* Patients must be able to complete 3 hours of therapy per day to qualify for the program
* Unit is divided across 2 floors with 29 beds on the 2nd floor and 19 beds on the 3rd floor
* Daily census of 41 patients across 48 beds
* Special equipment includes ARJO lift equipment: Maxi Move, Sara Plus, and Steady
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
* Float to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs
* Patients include adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: BLS and RN South Carolina license

This CARF-accredited rehabilitation hospital is one of only a few of its kind in South Carolina, holding accreditation in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, and stroke rehabilitation. The facility is part of a large health system and is connected to a 600-bed level one trauma hospital, providing quick access to all necessary services including rapid response and code teams. The hospital offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to patient care, supporting a wide range of complex rehabilitation needs.
