Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
* Self-scheduling available with shift options including days, nights, 9-9, 11-11, 1-1, and 3-3
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Manage 80-90 patients per day in a 24-bed emergency department with 3 trauma bays
* Care for patients with common diagnoses including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
* Participate in triage on an occasional basis
* ER holds are intermixed within the department
* RN must be able to read and interpret ECG rhythms independently as no monitor technicians are on staff
* Phlebotomy performed by tech or RN
* Floating to qualified units may be required
* Charting completed using EPIC; EMR system is Paragon
* Navy scrubs required
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 24-bed emergency department with 3 trauma bays and a dedicated fast track area. The department is supported by both ED physicians and mid-level providers, as well as charge nurses and house supervisors. The facility maintains in-house security and provides respiratory therapy support for equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices, with CT and X-ray located adjacent to the emergency department.
