Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
* Holiday requirement: 2 out of 3 major holidays
* On-call or standby requirement: none, as needed per census
* Patient ratios of 1:4-6 on a 96-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
* Nurse aide ratios of 1:8-16
* Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, general surgical, stroke, and cardiac patients
* Required to titrate drips including Heparin
* All beds are telemetry capable with monitor techs; RNs validate, read, and document on strips
* Floating within scope of practice required as needed
* Unit-specific orientation consists of 3 shifts coordinated with the onboarding process
* Charting system: EPIC
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and bottom
* Minimum 1 year of RN experience required with telemetry experience
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Washington state or Compact nursing license required
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 96-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit equipped with full telemetry capabilities across all beds. The unit is supported by both charge nurses and house supervisors, along with monitor technicians and nurse aides, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and treats a diverse patient population including cardiac, surgical, and stroke patients.
