Job Details:

* Night shift position in an acute care medical-surgical unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift
* Float pool includes Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
* First to float, with potential to float within Zone 3 during extreme staffing needs
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* Minimum of six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule
* Holiday shifts required
* Call or standby requirements determined by Nurse Manager
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* Must have experience with cardiac drips and post cath lab care
* Required to titrate drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives
* Experience with respiratory equipment required: CPAP, HFNC, and NRB
* Telemetry monitoring available 24/7 via tele techs with RN co-signing strips
* Common patient diagnoses include CHF, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure
* Navy blue to Caribbean blue scrubs required for RNs
* Charting system: EPIC
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* BSN not required
* Valid state license required for submission
