Opportunity:

RN - MS/Tele (ACE Unit - Acute Care for the Elderly)

Job Details:

* Schedule options: 4x12s or 3x12s
* Every other weekend requirement
* 1 year of experience required in MS/Tele
* 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Care for hospitalized elderly patients aged 65 and older on a 26-bed telemetry-capable unit
* Perform IV starts, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line management
* Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, including remote telemetry monitoring
* Apply Heparin protocols and provide telemetry-capable care
* Proficiency in geriatric-focused care required
* Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to areas where staff are qualified with documented competencies
* All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included at time of submission
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Active SC or multistate license required; pending licenses not accepted
* First-time travelers accepted

Facility:

This regional teaching medical center is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and features 641 licensed beds. The facility offers advanced specialty programs including cardiac care, stroke, and vascular services. The ACE unit is a newly renovated 26-bed medical surgical unit with telemetry capabilities, staffed by specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses and a multidisciplinary team focused on preserving cognitive and physical function, mobility, recovery, and reducing length of stay for patients aged 65 and older.
