Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks
* Floating required per facility floating policy
* Must badge in and out for shifts and take a full 30-minute lunch break
* Clock-in time is 6:38 AM/PM - after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy
* Documentation system: Meditech (charting/order entry preferred)
* Minimum 2 years or more ICU experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
* Active TX RN License required - temporary license not accepted
* Required skills: Hemodynamic monitoring (swans, art lines), ventilator management, and strong critical thinking skills
* Preferred skills: IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, and Meditech charting/order entry
* Procedures performed on unit include post CABG, post VAD, and post cath with various cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
