Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* 30-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* No block scheduling guaranteed
* Float between 2 North and 2 West units
* Work with equipment including wound vac, heparin drip, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry
* Documentation system: Editech
* Must have skills in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm recognition
* Advanced skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation required
* Procedures performed on unit include lab draws and IV starts
* Unit support includes 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
* Required certification: BLS
* Dress code: Navy scrubs; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
