Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement of up to every other weekend
* No on-call required
* May be floated to another unit to cover an attendant need
* Patient volume ranges from 90 to 130 visits per day
* Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience required
* Work setting experience required: Acute Care, Urgent Care, Trauma Level 3, and Teaching
* Work setting experience preferred: Urgent Care, Trauma Level 1, Trauma Level 2, and Children's Hospital
* Required general skills: Vital signs, 12-lead EKG, AED/Defibrillator, Splinting, Wound Care, and Crutch Training
* Treat patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Common conditions include chest pain, trauma, seizures, burns, stroke, mental health concerns, respiratory symptoms, and lacerations
* Required certifications: BLS, EMT, EMT-B, and State License
* Preferred certifications: PALS and ACLS
* Minnesota EMT license required if working in MN; Wisconsin EMT license required if working in WI
* Epic (Excellian) charting system experience required
* High School or GED required
* Associate's or Vocational degree in a health-related field preferred
* Medical Terminology preferred
* Scrub color: Teal
* Parking is free in any unrestricted space
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and more
* Supported specialties include General ER, Psych/Behavioral Health, and Pediatrics
* Preferred specialties include Triage, Fast Track, Observation, and STEMI Center

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates a Level 3 Trauma Center that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, serving the community during medical emergencies. The facility features 63 staffed beds and 35 emergency department rooms, with a daily census of approximately 100 patients. The emergency department is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Social Services.
