RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* Block scheduling available
* Floating required as needed within scope
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Critical Access Hospital experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system experience required using Cerner
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (can be obtained after offer but before start date), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP
* Required skills include labor and delivery, newborn assessment, vaginal delivery, starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions/PPE, and vaccine administration
* Care for neonatal and adult patient populations
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy

Facility:

This critical access hospital operates a Labor & Delivery unit with 4 rooms, including 3 labor and delivery rooms and 1 triage room, delivering approximately 20 babies per month. The facility supports a collaborative care environment with interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy. Postpartum patients are transitioned to acute care following delivery.
