Opportunity:

RN - Post-Partum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available hours of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (nights)
* Night shifts required with 4 weekend shifts per assignment (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekends)
* Holiday availability required as needed
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (within the past 6 months)
* 28-bed Post-Partum unit with a ratio of 3 couplets to 1 nurse
* Common patient diagnoses include pre-eclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, stable post hemorrhage, and both vaginal and C-section delivered patients
* OB Hospitalist in house 24/7 with access to house SWAT IV team assistance as needed
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* Charting completed using Cerner EMR
* Charge nurse available on unit; no nurse aides on unit
* No telemetry or ventilator responsibilities
* 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided as needed
* No floating required within unit; however, may float to sister facility
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue

This acute care facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides comprehensive maternity and post-partum services. The facility supports staff with 24/7 pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and OB hospitalist coverage, ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care around the clock. The organization maintains a collaborative care environment with access to a house SWAT team to assist nursing staff as needed.
