Open Position: PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Inpatient

Job Details:

* No on-call responsibilities
* Weekend coverage assistance may be requested if candidate is available
* If working a Saturday, candidate would float off the week prior; if working a Sunday, candidate would float off the week following
* May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
* 16 non-billable orientation hours
* EMR system: EPIC
* Billable overtime available between 36-40 hours per week depending on agreement, with overtime billable after 40 or 48 hours per week
* Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
* Limited to 1 day off request between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
* Scrub color: Dark Grey/Charcoal
* All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
* PTA experience required
* Mandatory Reporter certification required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
* Active Iowa Physical Therapy Assistant license required
* Skills checklist specific to PTA discipline required
* 1 Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years required
* Valid driver's license required

This facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center providing comprehensive medical services across multiple campuses. The organization supports an interdisciplinary team approach where travelers contribute professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of patient care. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
