Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Float required
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Minimum 18 months of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrubs not provided - any color acceptable
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* CPI certification preferred
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* California state license required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)
* All required certifications must be in-hand when applying
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tubes, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, IV insulin protocols, pacemaker management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, and additional telemetry and medical-surgical skills
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a large inpatient telemetry unit with 75 beds and a daily census of 69 patients. The unit provides comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry care with robust interdisciplinary support services. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a strong focus on patient safety and quality care across all age groups.
