Opportunity:

RN - MS Float

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
* Nurse aide support available with a 1:15 ratio
* Care for surgical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, and general surgery
* Care for medical patients including CHF, CVA, shortness of breath, and diabetic issues
* Telemetry monitoring on unit with monitor tech reading strips and RN confirmation required
* Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
* RNs are not required to titrate drips
* Floating requirements apply - first to float
* On-call or standby requirement with LCD
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Any scrub color permitted
* Required certifications: BLS

This acute care facility operates a 61-bed combined medical-surgical float unit providing comprehensive inpatient care across both surgical and medical patient populations. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and supports a structured float program with unit-specific orientation and a float checklist designed to help traveling clinicians transition smoothly into the environment. The organization maintains strong support systems including monitor technicians and nurse aide staff to ensure quality patient care.
