Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $4059.36

Opportunity:

RN - MS/Tele (ACE Unit - Acute Care for the Elderly)

Job Details:

* 4x12 or 3x12 shift schedules accepted
* Must work 2 of 3 holidays
* Every other weekend requirement
* 1 year of experience required
* 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Active SC or multistate license required - pending licenses not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older on a 26-bed telemetry-capable unit
* Must be proficient in MS/Tele experience, IV starts, and blood product administration
* Must be proficient in central, peripheral, and PICC line management
* Dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
* Remote telemetry monitoring experience required
* Heparin protocol experience required
* Proficiency in geriatric-focused care required
* Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to areas where staff are qualified with documented competencies
* All pre-approved time off requests must be included at the time of submission and will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* First-time travelers accepted

Facility:

This regional teaching medical center is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, featuring 641 licensed beds. The facility offers advanced specialty programs including cardiac care, stroke, and vascular services. The ACE unit is specially designed to care for patients aged 65 and older who are at higher risk for complications, staffed by a multidisciplinary team including specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses focused on mobility, recovery, and reducing length of stay.
