Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 or 4x12 shifts with manager preference noted prior to interview
* Every other weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* 2+ years of straight medical surgical experience required (not float, SDU, or telemetry)
* Level I or Level II trauma experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
* Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
* Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
* Provide patient-centered care focused on patient safety and quality outcomes
* Care for a mixed acuity patient population including post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice patients
* Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication to address all aspects of patient care

This facility features a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit with mixed acuity and diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment that offers great learning opportunities. The unit is patient-centered and focused on patient safety and delivery of quality, evidence-based, and holistic care. The facility maintains an active Unit Based Council through Shared Governance that promotes a healthy work environment of teamwork and positivity, and supports new team members throughout their orientation and professional growth.
