Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with department closed on Fridays
* 4 shifts of orientation in the department
* Call requirement of 4-8 call shifts per month from 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following day
* 1 weekend of call per month covering Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
* 20-minute response time required for call shifts
* Guest house available for call team only if normal housing is more than 20 minutes away
* No floating required
* Surgical scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Circulate general, orthopedic, podiatry, GYN, OB, endoscopic, and urology cases
* Average of 8-10 cases performed per day
* Must be comfortable learning pre-op and PACU duties and taking on some responsibilities in these areas
* On callback, RNs will circulate case and recover patient after the case
* Must be comfortable monitoring patients on cardiac monitor and interpreting cardiac rhythms
* RNs will transport patients and assist with turning over and cleaning rooms
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 1 year may be considered if experienced with all specialties offered
* Must have experience circulating general, orthopedic, podiatry, GYN, OB, endoscopic, and urology case types
* EMR: Cerner experience highly preferred; must include how much Cerner experience and last time used
* IV Pumps: Alaris
* Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Maine nursing license required

This critical access hospital features 25 beds and 3 OR suites along with 1 GI Endoscopy room. The facility is supported by a team of 3 CRNAs, a charge RN, supervisor, and respiratory therapist. The organization offers a comprehensive range of surgical services including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, GYN, OB, endoscopy, and urology, with a collaborative team environment focused on quality patient care.
