RN - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Job Details:

* Primarily scheduled on Medical Surgical unit (4 or 5) with required competency to float to Telemetry, MS/Tele, and MS units
* Weekend coverage required
* Only 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered - blocked scheduling cannot be approved
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratios follow California staffing ratios for day shifts
* Daily census varies
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncology, general, and diabetes management cases
* Must have experience with stroke patients
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required experience: Medical Surgical, Cerner
* Required skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry
* Preferred skills: ICU/ED experience, conscious sedation/vents
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
