Opportunity:

Burn ICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* 15 weekend shifts per contract
* Float to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:2 (days, nights, and weekends)
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be in hand)
* Valid OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of 13 patients across 13 beds
* Patient diagnoses include burns, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post code, post-op Whipple, AMS, and hypovolemic shock
* Perform wound care, pain management, line placement, and assist with intubation
* Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, suctioning (ETT, NT), titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility operates a specialized Burn Intensive Care Unit equipped to manage complex, critically ill patients including burn injuries and multisystem organ dysfunction. The unit maintains a low patient-to-nurse ratio and is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy. The facility provides a highly specialized environment with robust clinical support to ensure the highest level of patient care.
