Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* Navy scrubs required
* EPIC documentation system used
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required in hand at time of submission
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; less experience will be considered
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Patient ratio experience of 4 patients
* Valid RN license required
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs
* Skills required include but are not limited to: triage, IV management, arterial line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, emergency medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
* Experience with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations required
* One pre-approved time off allowed per contract

Facility:

This emergency department is a high-volume facility with 38 rooms and a daily census of approximately 135 visits per day. The unit serves a broad range of patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified and is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services.
