Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If choosing 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend unless needs change
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* NICU Level II and III experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* No first-time travelers accepted at this time
* Travel experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Unit system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Patient ratio: 2:1 (days, nights, and weekends)
* Patient population: Neonates and infants 22 weeks gestation and greater
* Patient diagnoses include: abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include: Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes: Arctic Sun, Blanketrol, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and SC license
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
Facility:
This facility is a large NICU with 41 beds and rooms, maintaining a daily census of 38 patients. The unit specializes in caring for critically ill neonates and infants from 22 weeks gestation and greater, offering a full range of advanced neonatal care services. The facility supports a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to manage complex neonatal conditions and surgical cases.
